Becoming Orthodox
Whether you were raised far from the Church or are only now being drawn toward her, you are welcome to begin the journey.

An unhurried path
People come to Orthodoxy from many backgrounds—other Christian traditions, other faiths, or no faith at all. The Church receives each person with patience: first through welcome and worship, then through instruction, and finally through Baptism or Chrismation, according to each person’s circumstances.
The best beginning is simply to come and pray with us. Attend the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, stay for coffee hour, and feel free to ask questions. When you are ready, the priest will meet with you and guide you toward becoming a catechumen—a learner preparing to enter the Orthodox Church.
How to approach it
Where to begin
Come to any service. You do not need to bring anything or know what to do beforehand. After the Liturgy, speak with the priest, or contact the church office to arrange a conversation. The process is personal and unhurried, and sincere questions are always welcome.

The doors open before every service. When you are ready to talk, the church office will put you in touch with the priest.
